Mi zna kdo opisati na kakšen način deluje avtomatska špera na 940ki?
Kaj jo vklopi in kdaj?

Eaton g80 diferencial z mehansko blokado oz. ALD (automatic locking differential)

"The automatic locking differential ALD.
240 series - introduced in 1993 model as a factory installed option. Reportably fitted to the '240 Polar' but for typical 93 it may not be fitted. In 1993 the 740 was replaced by the 940. The 940 had ALD. Fitted to the 1041 standard solid axle & 1045 multilink on the 960 with IRS (independant rear suspension). later in 1996 they introduced the Multilink MkII 1065 (nil on 1055) for the 960 with differential lock. It detects wheel spin automatically and if one wheel spins it locks both up to 40 km/h (25 mph) then cuts out when the latching pawl is released by a centrifugal governor & weights, or cuts out when normal traction occurs. It's fitted with friction discs similar to LSD types 2&3, but controlled differently. Therefore, ATC is NOT 'limited slip' as per Dana 30 (Dana 30 being a max 75% torque transmission type), rather ATC is full lock (Locker) to x speed. ALD with TRACS comes standard from the factory in front wheel drive Turbo 850's and newer. Reportably the differential is an Eaton G80. "

"During normal driving conditions, the differential operates as a conventional "open" differential. But as soon as wheel slip occurs in either forward or reverse, the locking mechanism engages. A flyweight governor in the differential responds to differences in speeds. During normal driving, the governor does not influence differential action. But whenever one wheel's speed substantially exceeds the other's, which only occurs during wheel slip, the governor spins rapidly causing the flyweight to open. The flyweight then catches a latching bracket and begins lockup. During lockup, a self-energizing clutch system causes a cam plate to ramp against a side gear. This ramping compresses the disc packs that are inserted between the side gears and the case. The ramping increases until both axles turn at the same speed (full lock) which prevents further wheel slip. The entire locking procedure takes a fraction of a second and is unnoticed by the average driver. Unlocking occurs when both wheels regain traction."

Diferenciala Dana 1039 in 1041 pa sta tudi enaka kot pri Jeepu (Wrangler in Cheeroki ) istega časa.

Očitno kar pogosta reč. Tej diferenciali (g80) so omenjeni tudi na nekih Blazerjih, al kaj že to amerikanci vozjo. Youtube ma kr neki posnetkov prikazov "kako je to fina reč".
Pol mora bit to kr orenk. MOram samo še zvohat za tip olja.
